The Problem
Many men’s views on help-seeking behaviour severely limit their ability to utilise support networks.
This makes them prone to use of high dopamine producing coping mechanisms, to distract them from trauma.
-
Feedback loops
The issue with these substances and behaviours is that they are inherently addictive. With each use their effectiveness wears off, leaving the user with diminishing satisfaction after each use.
All the while the negative side effects continue to worsen. These are called positive feedback loops

The Solution
Brotherly is a Habit-control application that uses instant anonymous peer support networks to help men aged 18-50 identify and control habits that they deem self-destructive or obstructive to their life goals.
It utilises knowledge of the male psyche to provide a platform that appeals to this demographic where other traditional methods have failed.
